Friends Group has further strengthened its stainless-steel value chain through the takeover of Vedik Ispat Pvt. Ltd., the group’s upstream steel manufacturing unit, and a key backward integration for Shah Foils Ltd./ Stellinox Stainless Pvt Ltd

Located at APIIC Gollapuram Industrial Park, Hindupur, Andhra Pradesh, Vedik Ispat manufactures stainless-steel billets, hot-rolled coils, and mild-steel billets, supporting both captive consumption and broader industrial demand.

The facility plays an important role in enhancing the group’s integrated stainless-steel operations by ensuring greater control over raw material quality, production efficiency, and long-term supply capabilities.

Vedik Ispat caters to a wide range of sectors including kitchenware, appliances, architecture, food processing, industrial fabrication, and infrastructure. Its products are valued for their strength, surface finish, corrosion resistance, and suitability across SS 201 and SS 304 grades.

The plant currently operates with a melting capacity of 7,722 MT per month and is undergoing a major expansion significantly enhancing production capacity to 30,000 MT monthly across stainless-steel grades.

Supported by a rolling mill capacity of 40,000 MT annually, the expansion further strengthens Friends Group’s position as an integrated and future-ready player in the stainless-steel sector.
